CKM and DHLRI staff met once a week for six months to plan and coordinate the three projects.

Redesigned website now reflects the Institute’s innovative programs and initiatives, as well as direct links to its investigators, research labs, scientific experts and research projects. Researchers can also access lab scheduling and other information using a member-only log-in feature. Additionally, each issue of the newsletter is available online. http://heartlung.osu.edu

Centrally maintained database captures data on Institute members and lab user information. The data on users is automatically updated with each use, and shared across the DHLRI system.

Computerized laboratory scheduling creates a “real-time” reservation system for its six core labs, allowing information to be shared across the labs and eliminating duplication. Lab users can now schedule time for lab equipment, request assistance and get confirmation electronically. Online appointment changes and cancellations automatically free up previously reserved time.
