Fax: 614.688.4655 As a senior leader of the Prior Health Sciences Library and Center for Knowledge Management Executive team at the Ohio State University, Dr. Cain leads the research and development of new information services, knowledge solutions and innovations and fosters new business partnerships that help extend the mission of the Medical Center and University.
During his tenure at Ohio State, Cain has guided the conceptualization and design of a number of systems and solutions to serve a diverse set of knowledge-based needs. Several examples include: (i) business workflow tools to support the online educational and business needs of the Medical Center's continuing medical education; (ii) a student academic and information system to serve the administrative needs of medical students and the College of Medicine; (iii) a content management strategy to streamline support of over 120 decentrally managed web sites across the OSU Medical Center.
More recently, Cain and colleagues were recognized by the Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries by garnering it inaugural 2007 Innovation Award for their work devising a data model and methodology to enhance tracking, reporting and sharing the expertise of faculty and staff at Ohio State – one of the nation's largest universities. |
